It’s the 1950s in Oklahoma, USA. Gurt and his best friend Kent are typical kids, growing up in the American heartland. It’s a simple time filled with carefree days, star-filled nights and plenty of open spaces in which to play, explore and, occasionally, get into a little trouble.
Then one fateful day in the fall of 1957, that all changes. Something unimaginable and amazing occurs. It affects the lives of Gurt, Kent, their families—and just about everyone they know, including one innocent bystander who just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time.
