SUZANNE KELLY received a B.S. degree from Iowa State University in child development-elementary, with teaching licenses in both secondary and elementary education, and a M.S. degree from Purdue University in early childhood education. She taught fifth and sixth grades for forty-two years, receiving several state and national awards, including the Catalyst Award and The Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching. Suzanne’s hobby is designing and sewing fashion doll apparel, which she donates to organizations. She enjoys rambling with her husband, Bob, who photographs the Iowa landscape, and making up treasure hunts with her grandchildren. Suzanne is also the author of the non-fiction book, Reaching Beyond the Waves: A Teacher’s Sixth Graders’ Inspirational Search for the WW II Survivors of a Downed B-17 and the Men Who Rescued Them (Hellgate Press).

AMY SENGBUSCH received her commercial art degree from Des Moines Area Community College. She has been a professional graphic designer for almost forty years. Amy likes to visit her children and grandchildren, bicycle, hike, and swim. She especially enjoys taking her Goldendoodle dog, Layla, for walks.
